Have you used Yahoo’s Search Submit service to promote your business? What’s your opinion?
I am starting a small business and have a website for it – I’m trying to keep my marketing $$$ low, but I want to know whether the money I’d pay for Yahoo Search Submit would be worth it. Can I just register one URL (like my home page)? The service costs $49 per URL. Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Go back through and read all the information on the sites offered for Small Business through Yahoo. I think what your looking for is a Sponsor listing such as the second link.
If you have the money to spend in the future. Use a paid inclusion. 3rd link.
You could also search, join,or start a group and ask for pointers in the Yahoo Business Community.
I have been answering questions like this for a small amount of time and know where to find most of it.I don’t have a small business but know a few things.
My opinion is read the details before signing the line. It’s a matter of money when you have none, but a matter of what to do when you come into it.
Don’t expand unless you have the customer base to do so or the people to help you. One last note…..take the time to look the sites over.

Does the SEO algorithm crawl/search embedded codes?
For example: HTML, Flash or anything else in that nature.
1) “The SEO algorithm”? There isn’t a single algorithm. Each search engine operates entirely differently.
2) “Embedded Codes” = You might read a book, we’re not talking about secret encrypted codes of mystery – it’s “code” and still much better applied to actual computer programming than web design.
For example, html though it’s a “language” is obviously looked at by a spider/crawler – or else it wouldn’t be able to seek out links and use comments and whatnot. Flash is not a “code” nor a “language”. It is used in the form of a compiled binary file – there isn’t any way for a machine to ‘understand’ flash objects yet. Though they’re probably working on something…
To be able to answer ‘or anything else’ would really require specifics or for you to comprehend the differences in the technologies involved there isn’t any simple rule or guide.
