Multiple site – SEO problem?
I have a site in English. I want to make another version of the site, but in Spanish. I will not use the software translation, because I know how futile it can be sometimes. I will translate all English HTML pages by hand. I have a link to the Spanish version of the established English version. SEO What are the implications of this? I want both versions to rank well. Would it be better to have bought a different domain Spanish for the Spanish version of the website hosted on a new hosting account and have the link "Spanish version" links in English sites of the Spanish version in different domain? Google will penalize sites if you are similarities in the translation though they are kept in separate domains? Furthermore, in contrast, would be better to create a child domain and only have the Spanish version of the site in that folder?
The page SEO English original should not be affected, however you should write in Spanish Meta Tags for your new pages in Spanish translated. Conduct keyword research key in the same way you did for the English pages and then put them into practice in the new pages. I had a few customers that were running two websites English and Spanish and it worked very well with on page optimization and off page.
